A solutions based firm, they provide services to some of the largest businesses across the globe. A business in very high growth, this is a unique opportunity for a dynamic, astute finance professional to join the journey at a pivotal time. The UK base is growing and in its infancy, this role will work remotely and will liaise with the CFO overseas.

This role offers flexibility both with working patterns and remains remote. A new role in the structure, this is a real opportunity for someone to grow with the business. Setting high standards and aligning process, the role manages all aspects of finance, as well as the governance and compliance.

Your new role as Head of Finance and Governance:

Leading the department to ensure the strong financial health and effective cash management of the UK and overseas business, this pivotal role will drive operational excellence through the introduction of robust internal controls and robust treasury management.

A role driving continuous change to improve process and procedure, the Head of Finance shall also manage risk across the business in a fast paced, ever changing environment.

As Controller you shall take responsibility for the day to day management of transactions. Working with stakeholders in the UK and overseas, you shall be responsible for the financial reporting and supporting analysis, aiding the decision making process, whilst monitoring risk and compliance for customers and partners alike

Initially, as the business continue to grow at pace, this position will focus on the stabilisation of the finance department, ensuring systems, process and data management are operating effectively, in an accurate and timely manner. Once aligned you shall seek to develop and evolve this area on a continuous basis.

As Head of Finance you shall monitor and manage the movement of cash, ensuring strict controls are maintained. Taking responsibility for the preparation of accurate financial statements, the budget process, Cash-flow the reconciliation of multi-currency transactions across several bank accounts, this role operates in a high volume environment, in rapid growth.

As the business continue to expand, and territories evolve across the globe, this role will also develop.

Main role duties to include but not limited to:

  • Management and reconciliation of all transactions across the various ledgers
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, supporting analysis and board pack presentation to stakeholders to review and discuss the financial position of the business
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets for the company.
  • Treasury management, ensuring payments are made in a timely manner and cashflow monitored.
  • Preparation of financial analysis and supporting reports to aid the commercial decision making process.
  • Reconciliation across multiple bank accounts many of which operate in a multi-currency environment.
  • Risk management, ensuring the business and its customers comply within financial laws and regulations, as well as operating to in-house policies, liaising with financial institutions to resolve any noncompliance matters which may arise.
  • Continuous development of process and procedure to ensure the finance function is fit for purpose.
  • Liaison with overseas entities where required.
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:

Formally qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or highly experienced QBE with a proven track record in a growing business at a senior level, you shall only be considered if located in the UK, (Ideally in the North West due to the location of the UK directors) and have all the skills and experience to meet each and every of the requirements above.

As well as being hands on in the technical elements of cashflow, budgets, management and financial accounting, you shall have a proven track record of managing compliance and governance, with further experience of implementing robust financial controls and procedures.
