TLC LIVE are an online education company working with families, schools and local authorities to deliver a range of education provision including online tutoring and an online school.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to join our management team and drive the financial strategy of the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial skills, a proven track record in leadership, and a deep understanding of financial services and accounting practices. The position plays a critical part in maintaining financial health, ensuring compliance, and driving informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, with clear analysis of financial performance. Analyse income streams and contribute to forecasting and profit & loss reporting. Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial performance, streamline operations, and enhance profitability. Ensure appropriate and correct filing and reporting of statutory accounts and tax payments Conduct detailed costings and analysis Support the leadership team in identifying growth opportunities and constraints. Model financial scenarios and provide clear, data-driven recommendations. Work closely with the CEO to support strategic planning with robust financial insights. Attend board meetings to present and discuss financial updates. Line manage one direct report within the finance team. Oversee the use of Xero for ongoing financial management and reporting.

Key Skills & Experience:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Demonstrated experience in financial management, planning, and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Xero. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Understanding of the education or service sector is beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 40,000.00-46,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week
