Job Description

An exciting role is available for a Head of Finance with strong Sage and Construction experience. Working with a small team, we need someone reliable who can work on their own initiative, manage a small team and be very organised in producing timely and accurate financial information for weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.

Sage, CIS and Invoice Finance experience a must.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial reporting - preparing accurate financial accounts on a monthly and annual basis ensure compliance with accounting standards (in conjunction with external advisors). Team management - leading and supervising a small team. Compliance - ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including VAT, CIS and PAYE. Operational finance - overseeing daily financial operations, including cash management (including bank reconciliations), payroll, CIS and processing accounts payable and receivable. Cost reduction - identifying opportunities to reduce costs and increase profits by evaluating processes and performance.

KNOWLEDGE:

A strong knowledge of Sage (accounts & payroll) and CIS Construction Ability to work to timescales under pressure Excellent attention to detail

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience leading and motivating a team. Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Excellent time management skills. Attention to detail - meticulous focus on detail. Part-Qualified Accounts knowledge or above. Good construction knowledge preferred. Ability to analyse financial information and problem solve, applying commercial and business awareness. Excellent communication skills - clearly present and communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. IT proficiency in Office packages (word, excel and outlook) and financial software (Sage).
