We are now seeking a strategic and commercially astute

Head of Finance

to help steer our financial future and strengthen our leadership team.

The Role

This is a senior role for a qualified professional who wants to make an impact in a fast-growing construction business. You'll oversee all financial activity, lead a small team, and partner with Directors to support strategic planning, performance monitoring, and risk control.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Reporting

Lead the finance department, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting Deliver monthly management accounts, board reporting and financial modelling Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasting and long-term financial planning

Commercial Strategy

Provide financial input into business strategy and decision-making Partner with project teams on cost control, margin improvement, and performance metrics Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems

Team Management & Compliance

Lead and support finance team members including accounts and payroll Ensure VAT, CIS, HMRC and statutory obligations are met Maintain and improve financial policies, controls, and audit readiness

What We're Looking For

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Strong commercial acumen, ideally with construction or manufacturing experience Experience leading a finance team in a scaling business Excellent Excel and system skills; experience with Sage or similar preferred Proactive, collaborative and solution-focused leadership style
