This role would oversee the end-to-end financial management of the Aqua Consultants business unit, which has a combined turnover in excess of 16m, with acquisitions in progress and more on the horizon. The role includes but is not limited to the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasting financial performance, driving the financial control environment within the division and migration of any future acquisitions onto the divisions financial report and ERP systems.
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. The role offers hybrid working, with an expectation of 3/4 days a week working in the office in Leeds.

Responsible for the day-to-day management accounting processes for entities in the Division
Ensure regular forecast reporting and effective management of the annual budget cycle to maintain financial accuracy.
Provide leadership and business partnering to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) within Aqua to drive and inform strategic decision-making.
Manage the effective integration of acquisitions into the group's financial reporting cycle and ERP systems, with a strong emphasis on harmonizing financial processes. Oversee and manage the financial due diligence process to ensure acquisitions align seamlessly with the group's strategic and operational goals
Collaborating with divisional management to ensure forecasting accuracy, timely budget preparation and capex investments needs are maintained and controlled
Ensure the monthly group reporting procedures and deadlines are achieved to a high standard
Develop and implement clear and documented accounting processes and controls - including the development of an accounting policies document
Ensuring that the WIP is converted to sales invoices and cash recovered in a timely manner
Support in Ad hoc financial projects as and when required
Key point of contact and day to day management of the audit as well as accounting & tax compliance
Managing the finance roles within Aqua, currently a Finance Manager and Financial Accountant.
Required on occasion to visit service centre/offices within the division including future acquisitions.
About you:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
Prior experience in a similar role
Experience operating within an Consultancy or multi-site environment advantageous but not essential
Microsoft Office applications experience, with excellent knowledge of Excel. VBA knowledge advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of Xero and Workbook would be a distinct advantage
Excellent administration and office environment skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use initiative is essential and a proactive approach to problem solving
Clean UK driving licence
