Role Overview
As
Head of Finance
, you will lead a team of six finance professionals through a dynamic phase of expansion. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a central role in shaping the financial strategy and driving operational excellence throughout the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership
Partner with the CFO to align the finance function with the company's strategic vision.
Lead the development and execution of annual budgets and KPIs.
Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including reporting, controls, performance analytics, and compliance.
Manage treasury operations and working capital to ensure adequate funding and investment capacity.
Identify and secure external funding from financial institutions and government programs.
Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting (weekly, monthly, annual) for both internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Commercial Strategy
Support the CFO in company-wide financial decision-making.
Optimize pricing strategies and margin performance to enhance competitiveness.
Interpret operational data and processes to assess profitability and cost efficiency.
Leadership & Collaboration
Build strong relationships with senior leadership and board members through strategic reporting and analysis.
Cultivate a high-performance culture within the finance team with a focus on professional development and excellence.
Champion collaborative teamwork across departments to ensure financial objectives align with broader company goals.
Success Metrics - First 12 Months
Establish a streamlined, well-controlled finance function with strong reporting standards.
Achieve financial and operational KPIs on time and within budget.
Lead impactful finance-related projects from initiation to completion.
Foster a culture of excellence and accountability within the finance team.
Deliver accurate and actionable financial insights to support commercial and operational decisions.
Candidate ProfileQualifications & Experience
ACA-qualified accountant (or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in senior finance roles, ideally within a manufacturing or fast-paced operational environment.
Proven ability to lead finance teams and work closely with C-Suite and executive leadership.
Broad finance expertise across financial control, technical accounting, FP&A, M&A, tax, and compliance.
Experience delivering results under tight deadlines and managing cross-functional projects.
