Job Description

This role involves but is not limited to:

Having responsibility for all staff within the Operational Finance department (circa 40 heads). Acting as Deputy COFA. Management of Breach Register and remedial action required. Coaching and mentoring of key managerial roles within the function. Planning, managing, and executing the annual SAR audit process for all regulated firms in the Group ensuring all information requested by external auditors is produced accurately and in a timely manner. Support the Group's financial audit and annual report processes to ensure timely sign off with minimal issues. Ensure financial data is accurately captured in financial systems. Manage cashflow and balances in accordance with direction from the Group FD. Training and supporting staff within the department and wider Group to include annual SAR refreshers. Responsible for recruitment within the department. Ensure that the department always complies with all requirements set out by Regulatory Bodies, in particular the SRA. Ensure regular departmental meetings and 121's take place. Responsible for relevant Balance Sheet reconciliations within departmental remit. Provide Director of Financial Operations with periodic updates on established KPI''s for each individual team and reviewed reconciliations for approval. Contribute to the review and creation of Firmwide policies and procedures. Continued review of current processes for effectiveness and efficiency gains. Undertake regular reviews of the staff within the Finance department, to ensure effective monitoring of performance and to recognise where developmental and training needs arise.

Requirements:



Accounting qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA or equivalent) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Able to manage relationships. Professional approach. Understanding of the Regulatory framework. Competent in Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate at all levels across all departments. High levels of attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
