OPPORTUNITY
This is a high-visibility position with scope to influence housing finance strategy and operational delivery. Working cross-functionally, the
Head of Finance (Housing)
will ensure the business meets all compliance standards while continuously improving the quality and effectiveness of finance support across property and housing services.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading all rent, service charge and housing finance processes
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policy frameworks
Overseeing financial reporting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts
Supporting rent setting, void management, and cost recharges across properties
Acting as a key partner to operations teams and senior stakeholders
Driving system and process improvement across the housing finance function
Managing audit preparation and delivering clear, accurate reporting to governance forums
PERSON
For this
Head of Finance (Housing)
position, we're looking for a commercially aware and collaborative finance professional with a housing or property finance background. You'll need to be confident leading both process and people, able to translate complex financial data into practical insight.
Essential skills and experience:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in housing finance, rent accounting, or service charge management
In-depth understanding of housing regulation and rent standards
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills
High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
Comfortable operating in a hybrid/remote setting with occasional travel
