The role:



The Head of Finance / Senior Finance Manager is a key role within our organisation, taking ownership for overseeing the finances of the organisation. We are looking for an experienced accountant (qualified/qualified by experience/qualified AAT) who is keen to use their skills and experience in a senior accounting role for the charity.


The role will include the following responsibilities:


Oversee one member of staff fulfilling bookkeeping functions and provide coverage when necessary.

Work with the CEO and Treasurer (a Trustee) to oversee the finances of the charity.

Manage and improve the finance processes and systems to reduce risk.

Prepare reports, budgets and forecasts for the management team and Board of Trustees and external funders. Manage the annual audit process and preparation of the year end accounts.

This position requires a highly motivated and experienced person; someone who understands how to manage financial risks and has experience overseeing staff and preparing finance reports and budgets.
