Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead our financial department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities. This role is pivotal in managing the financial accounting and financial management functions of the organisation, ensuring that our financial practices align with our strategic goals.

Duties



Oversee the financial operations of the organisation, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Manage the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and implement financial strategies to optimise organisational performance. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support decision-making processes. Monitor cash flow, manage investments, and assess financial risks to safeguard the organisation's assets. Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing clear analysis and recommendations.

Requirements



Proven experience in a senior finance role within the financial services sector. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in managing teams. Proficient in financial management software and tools, with advanced Excel skills preferred. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

oTo mentor and challenge professionally across departments and well-established teams

Qualified Accountant either CIMA, ACA or ACCA.

Commercial awareness, high level of analytical skills and ability to problem solve

Demonstrated experience working in a commercial accounting department, delivering to set timelines, and managing key stakeholders (At all levels)

Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across internally and externally

High level of IT literacy; Experience of Sage 200 (Accounts & Payroll)

Strong experience of Microsoft Excel

Database Management skills (Writing, maintaining, and updating inputs in addition to processing and reporting)

A warm and engaging character with correct values & behaviours

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,000.00-55,000.00 per year
