Pashley Cycles - Head of Finance
Pashley has been designing and making beautiful, high-quality, iconic bicycles in Stratford-upon-Avon since 1926. Whilst being respectful to its strong heritage, it has invested significantly in recent years, creating new opportunities by developing innovative products for both business and consumers. It has industry leading design and technical capabilities backed up by a highly skilled manufacturing team and has recently restructured its operation as part of a focused strategy which puts a strong emphasis on its new consumer range and brand development.
As it approaches its Centenary year Pashley is continuing to strengthen its leadership team and a planned retirement has created a vacancy for a new Head of Finance.
Based predominantly in Stratford-upon-Avon and reporting directly to and working alongside the CEO, the Head of Finance will play a pivotal and highly influential role not only in the day to day running but also in the future direction and success of the business.
The role also expands to the financial lead of its associate Group company.

Responsibilities:
Lead financial modelling and analysis to support strategic decision making and forecasting
Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, financial reporting, cashflow management and risk management
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities
Monthly and annual management accounts
Submission of all financial and regulatory accounts and corporate filings
VAT, Corporation Tax, R&D Tax submissions
Payroll, P11D & associated HR/PAYE HMRC returns and submissions
Monthly Sales & Margin Reports and cost reviews
Monthly stock analysis and reconciliation, stock control processes
Insurance - annual review and set up
Contract Management, including customer, supplier, utilities
Daily /weekly/monthly Cashflow forecast
Managing Import/export documentation and Duty accounts and declarations
Managing currency requirements
Leadership of and cover for Accounts Assistants for Holidays: who's responsibilities include, payroll, daily sales invoicing, credit control, cashbooks, supplier payments etc
Ensure proper controls are in place regarding authorisations, customer deposits and PO and WO releases
Work with stakeholders in the business to ensure that systems are in place to ensure controls around goods received, dispatch, works order release, accurate determination of bills of materials
Ensure proper employment documentation is issued for starters and leavers, work with CEO and external HR in managing HR processes
Trade Mark & Patents - filing of documentation
Management of bank and key stakeholder relationships
Requirements and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification, likely to be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified demonstrable ability of positively managing and motivating people
With a small but passionate and talented team, it is crucial that the candidate is the right cultural fit, hands-on, self-starting, creative, leads through example and takes the initiative. Being a small business, this really does mean getting involved in wherever support or leadership is needed
Have an excellent knowledge of financial management and accounting principles, standards, taxation and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse data to identify trends and insights.
Strong working understanding of ERP systems and financial analysis tools.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate financial data highlighting problems and opportunities along with solutions to key stakeholders across all levels of the business.
Experience in working cross-functionally and collaboratively across all departments and levels of the business including leadership and board members.

Pay: 40,000.00-60,000.00 per year
