Our client is seeking a Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead their financial department.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of financial accounting, financial management, and the financial services industry. A proactive, articulate and professional communicator.
This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health of the organisation and will involve strategic planning, management of financial operations, and fostering a culture of organisational excellence.
Must have a can do attitude, willingness to be hands on and embrace technology and innovation.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organisation's goals.
Create, Develop and Implement all financial accounting processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, statutory requirements and standards.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to provide insights into the organisation's performance.
Lead a team of 12 fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate financial risks.
Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing robust Internal Controls
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and accountability.
Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making at all levels.
Monitor cash flow, investments, and other financial activities to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Must have experience with the Insurers Payables Function.
Qualifications
Must be FULLY qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
Proven leadership experience in a finance role within a dynamic environment.
Strong background in financial accounting and management principles.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services sector and its regulatory framework.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
