Description

We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Head of Fire Safety to lead the development and implementation of fire safety strategies across our properties in London.

You will

Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fire safety strategy across multiple locations, aligning with the organisation's health and safety objectives. Manage fire risk assessments, fire safety policies, and compliance with relevant legislation, including monitoring contractors and fire safety equipment. Provide strategic fire safety advice and reports to senior leadership and regulatory bodies, acting as the senior fire safety representative. Lead emergency fire response coordination, investigations of fire incidents, and manage crisis team involvement during major incidents. Oversee fire safety training programs, fire drills, and promote a proactive fire safety culture among staff and students. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders (Property Division) and external agencies (fire authorities, emergency services). Lead, manage, and develop the fire safety team to ensure high professional standards and continuous improvement in fire safety management. ###

You need

Recognised professional qualifications in fire safety (e.g., Level 4 Diploma, NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management, membership in IFSM). Extensive experience in senior fire safety leadership roles within complex, multi-site organisations, including fire risk assessment and application of fire safety legislation. Proven ability to lead fire safety strategy implementation, team management, and drive organisational change. Sound knowledge of fire safety legislation, building regulations, fire engineering principles, and risk management frameworks. Practical experience in fire investigations, policy development, audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience liaising with regulatory bodies and senior leadership.
