We're looking for a strategic and relationship-driven Head of Fundraising to join our senior leadership team. You'll report directly to the CEO, contribute to our wider organisational development, and lead the growth of our income so we can reach more people in need.
This is a pivotal role that holds a strategic overview of all income generation, with direct responsibility for income from corporate partnerships. You'll focus on developing and strengthening corporate giving, individual giving, and legacy fundraising - all areas with significant growth potential. You'll also shape supporter journeys, deepen engagement, and drive stewardship.
This is a forward-facing role where you'll represent WHY externally - whether speaking at events, inspiring potential partners, or deepening relationships with supporters. You'll need to be confident presenting to audiences of all sizes and comfortable building relationships at every level, from local businesses to individual donors and major funders. You'll be the kind of person who naturally seeks out opportunities to connect, share our story, and bring people on board with our mission.
Duties
Maintaining strategic oversight of all fundraising streams by staying informed on progress against targets, identifying risks early, and undertaking any corrective action where needed.
Leading and delivering corporate fundraising activity for the charity, delivering against agreed income targets.
Delivering agreed marketing activities for the charity, driving results across income generation and service delivery.
Experience
At least two years' experience fundraising in a charity or voluntary organisation, or equivalent.
Experience planning, budgeting and forecasting income.
Confidence and skill in public speaking and presenting - you'll be an ambassador for WHY at events and meetings.
Familiarity with websites, social media, and digital communication platforms.
Outstanding people skills - you build relationships easily and inspire trust and enthusiasm in supporters, stakeholders, and partners.
A collaborative, empathetic leadership style.
It is strongly desirable that you are able to drive, as the role involves travel across Bath and North East Somerset, Somerset and Wiltshire, including some evening and weekend meetings and events.
If you're ready to play a leading role in helping us make a lasting impact in the community, we'd love to hear from you.
