Cambridge Country Club is a premier golf and leisure destination located in South Cambridgeshire. Following an extensive rebuild and redevelopment, the Club now offers an outstanding and contemporary golf proposition in an exceptional setting.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Golf to join our senior management team. This is a key leadership role, responsible for delivering an exceptional golf experience for members and guests while supporting the continued growth and reputation of the Club.

The Role

The Head of Golf will act as the primary ambassador for the golf operation, ensuring the highest standards of service, professionalism, and operational excellence across all golf-related activities.

Lead, coach, and mentor the golf department team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture. Oversee the effective management of competition and general play start times to ensure smooth daily operations. Maintain and manage the Club's online tee-time diary accurately and efficiently. Ensure the golf retail and reception areas are presented to the highest standards at all times. Manage, support, and deliver member and corporate golf days, taking responsibility for achieving the annual golf day sales target. Ensure full compliance with all statutory, health and safety, and operational requirements across the department. Control golf shop stock levels within agreed parameters, conduct regular stock takes, and produce sales and performance reports as required. Be present and actively involved during major Club competitions and high-profile non-member or VIP golf days. Attend weekly Head of Department meetings and regular one-to-one meetings with the General Manager. Oversee the condition, cleanliness, and maintenance of the hire fleet, including buggies and trolleys, ensuring all equipment is fully operational.

Remuneration

The role offers an attractive package comprising a competitive basic salary alongside a generous commission scheme, designed to reward performance and the successful delivery of golf day sales and commercial targets.
