We are seeking a high-impact leader to drive the execution and coordination of transformation programs within the IMS initiative -- the Group-wide Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Strategy & Transformation program. This pivotal role is accountable for steering the delivery of cross-functional IMS initiatives, ensuring alignment across internal technical domains (such as Powerplant, Heavy Maintenance, Structures, etc.) and external airline operating companies (OpCos). This is a performance-driven role responsible for maintaining delivery momentum, removing obstacles, ensuring cohesive interdepartmental collaboration, and guaranteeing successful realization of strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities

Orchestrate IMS Program Execution: Direct and oversee the timely and effective delivery of complex transformation initiatives across the Group's maintenance and engineering functions. Promote Cross-Domain Synergy: Ensure alignment and harmonization of technical workstreams by facilitating collaboration across domain leaders, OpCos, and central teams. Drive Value Creation: Maintain a comprehensive view of domain portfolios, proactively identify bottlenecks, and resolve them decisively to sustain project traction. Act as Transformation Enabler: Serve as the principal escalation point for domain teams and airline stakeholders, taking a proactive stance to anticipate risks and resolve critical path blockers. Lead the IMS PMO function: The IMS PMO will report to the Head of IMS Program Delivery. Embedding standard operating procedures, tools, and governance frameworks that ensure uniformity, transparency, and control across programs. Mentor & Empower Teams: Guide domain leaders and their teams on best practices in change management, implementation planning, and execution tracking, empowering them to own outcomes. Budget Oversight & Value Tracking: Partner with Finance and Value Assurance teams to ensure that program financials, milestones, and business cases remain synchronized and accurately tracked. Ensure Integrated Governance: Establish and uphold governance structures that integrate cross-domain and cross-OpCo inputs, creating a consistent decision-making and escalation framework. Resource and Risk Management: Oversee resource allocations, prioritize deliverables, and implement mitigation actions to address emergent risks and shifting program priorities. Foster a Delivery-Driven Culture: Cultivate an outcome-oriented mindset within the transformation ecosystem, challenging complacency and pushing for high-impact execution

Qualifications



Professional Experience

Extensive background in aircraft maintenance and engineering (CAMO, MRO, Maintenance Programs), with deep domain exposure across multiple airlines or corporate entities. Proven track record of leading major transformation programs in technically and organizationally complex environments. Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary project portfolios, from strategic planning to hands-on delivery. Deep familiarity with aviation safety and airworthiness regulations, both European (EASA, CAA) and international (FAA, ICAO). Experience in steering technical upgrade projects and fleet-wide modifications, including participation in regulatory and OEM forums. Ability to operate under high-pressure scenarios such as AOG crises or safety-critical

Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities at both executive and operational levels. Sharp analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct challenges and deploy structured problem-solving techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal dexterity to manage multi-cultural and multi-functional teams. Mastery of program and portfolio management disciplines, tools, and digital project control systems. Capable of translating corporate-level transformation objectives into actionable and measurable initiatives at the domain level.


Education and Certifications

Bachelor's and Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum of 10 years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering roles, with increasing leadership responsibility.
