Job Description


Investigo\'s major client is currently seeking a Head of Infrastructure to be responsible for the entire lifecycle and operation of IT systems underlying infrastructure and the personnel that are at the core of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • As the Infrastructure Lead, the candidate will be responsible for staff management, vendor management, standards and procedures, monitoring and reporting, and infrastructure management solutions (i.e. SolarWinds) Support and Manage Infrastructure services - manage team that provides infrastructure services.
  • Work with Supplier Partner to implement new technologies and expand the services as needed.
  • Maintain and operate the network, server, storage, cloud infrastructure across the company and provide periodic reports about performances, costs, and operational metrics.
  • Define and implement the strategy for the tools needed for supporting such services\' Operations.
  • In conjunction with Enterprise Architecture, define and implement standard infrastructure models and templates to support manufacturing operations in the plants.
  • Provide the requirements to the architects for infrastructure\'s redundancy and high service levels to support the production volumes even in case of failure.
  • Define physical and cloud-based Data Center infrastructure requirements to enhance the performances of the business/ mission critical applications. Consolidate the infrastructure devices to reduce its overall footprint.
  • Enable the integration of network security devices into the overall design.
  • Support Disaster recovery implementation and execution for both IS/IT and business critical components.
  • Research, define, and implement (as appropriate) new technologies and strategies to support the evolving business or infrastructure directions.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record of strategizing and designing IT networks & Infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of cloud-based services (IaaS and PaaS) and their management tools
  • Proven Experience in IT Infrastructure sizing and capacity planning
  • Familiarity with industry-leading voice and data products, services, and company directions (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Microsoft).
  • Desired familiarity with a wide range of products and vendors in the telecommunications environment (voice, data, wireless, and video), including SD-WAN technologies
  • Strong Working knowledge of Virtual Architecture (VMWare, Nutanix)
  • Strong working knowledge of SAN environments
  • Management skills to direct and administer widely diversified functions and responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership skills to influence others, exercise authority and direct outcomes; personnel management skills required to direct technical staff in the development and maintenance of voice and data systems infrastructure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including: Ability to develop reports, project plans, proposals, information pieces, standards updates, operations and maintenance procedures. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member and/or leader of groups.
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts.
