Head Of Intelligence

Job objectives and responsibilities

  • To own and lead the delivery of intelligence services across Mitie Group and its customers
  • To position Mitie as an industry leading intelligence led organisation through the development, enhancement, and delivery of the intelligence services
  • To hold ultimate accountability for the GSOC, JLL\'s NICC, and the customer dedicated intelligence services and personnel, ensuring the creation, development, and delivery solutions in line with customer requirements
  • To support Mitie\'s strategic accounts through the promotion, marketing, and provision of industry leading intelligence services
Main duties
  • Lead the GSOC 24/7 core intelligence capability, ensuring the delivery of industry leading intelligence services to support Mitie Group and its customers
  • Lead the GSOC\'s customer dedicated intelligence services including the Credit Suisse and HMRC analyst teams
  • Lead the NICC, JLL\'s intelligence service, ensuring a high-quality service in line with customer expectations and requirements, and in support of Mitie\'s wider JLL contract
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely, relevant, and concise intelligence reporting across the services through the development of a collaborative approach across the intelligence hubs
  • Be ultimately accountable for the quality and content of all outgoing intelligence products and ensure appropriate response to customer requests for support, achieving KPIs and deadlines
  • Support the Director of Assurance with appropriate intelligence updates and Critical Incident event details to
  • ensure that Mitie Group responds effectively to threats as they arise
  • Develop new service offerings and products to ensure that Mitie remains the leading Intelligence led security business
  • Develop, manage, and deliver future additional customer dedicated services and analyst teams
  • Identify and implement technical and process related innovations to enhance incoming intelligence feeds, including the procurement of appropriate software and services where required
  • Support the learning and development of staff within the intelligence hubs through the development of appropriate training packages
  • Own and develop the relationships with customer stakeholders across the intelligence services
  • Work cohesively with the GSO commercial lead, and Business Services marketing team, to support the growth of the GSOC capability; through identifying opportunities, operator led sales and promotion of the Mitie Intelligence capability and community
  • Assist the growth and retention of business through the support to SAM\'s and the Marketing and Bids teams with tender opportunities.
  • Maintain oversight of GSOC pipeline, finance, spend and customer accounts in collaboration with Director of Assurance and GSO commercial lead
  • Maintain strategic oversight, awareness and understanding of the global security threat landscape and changes to security policies and programmes in the UK
  • Empower the intelligence hubs to deliver thought leadership and other appropriate content across Mitie Group, their customers, and publicly
  • Develop the Mitie Intelligence Community through coordination and collaboration with department heads via the Intelligence Steering Group, and the development of partnerships with customer-based intelligence services, eg. Facebook.
  • Work with the retail intelligence leads to coordinate and centralise the workstreams, processes, and outputs across the intelligence hubs
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance Mitie\'s intelligence services
Person Specification
  • Degree-educated, or an equivalent qualification, in a relevant subject matter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and exemplary spelling, punctuation and grammar
  • Demonstrable experience in leading teams of intelligence analysts
  • At least five years previous experience of working within a threat intelligence environment, such as within the military, government, law enforcement or security sectors
  • Flexible individual capable of rising to meet challenging tasks and create innovative delivery solutions.
