Job Description

Robert Half are currently engaged by an global Bank to recruit a London based Head of IT for a 2 year fixed term contract, with a view to be extended.

Role:

The Head of IT will be expected to execute the following:

• Grow and execute the Banks IT strategy in alignment with the Banks overall Business objectives

• Lead, manage and grow the current IT teams, providing, guidance, training, mentor ship and support to ensure high performance and continuous envelopment

• Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends and recommending their adoption to enhance business processes and deliver competitive advantage

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, negotiate favourable terms, and evaluate vendor performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.

• Develop and manage the IT budget, monitoring expenses, optimising resource allocation, and ensuring financial objectives are met.

Profile:

The Head of IT must have the following:

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master\'s degree preferred

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT management, with a focus on Banking, FinTech\'s or financial services

• Oracle Core banking and financial systems, regulations, and compliance requirements in UK.

• Understanding of IT infrastructure, open systems, software development life cycle, security frameworks, and data protection.

• Experience in managing infrastructure solutions and platforms, with knowledge of Oracle Databases technology.

• Relevant experience in IBM Power, Storage, Tape library, Firewalls, Data centre networks.

• Any certification in ITIL, Oracle, PMP are highly desirable.
