We have an opportunity for an
Head of Legal Services
to join their team of staff in the Legal department.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts including service agreements, supplier arrangements, joint ventures, collaborations, and consultancy agreements.
Ensure contracts are compliant with healthcare regulations and protect Circle Health Group's commercial interests.
Lead legal due diligence, contract negotiation, and drafting for high-value procurement and third-party contracts.
Provide expert guidance on legal and regulatory issues, NHS procurement rules, clinical governance, and data protection (GDPR).
Partner with senior leadership, commercial teams, procurement, and clinical operations to advise on key transactions, growth opportunities, and business strategy.
Collaborate with procurement, finance, clinical governance, and operational teams to ensure contracts and initiatives are fit-for-purpose and delivered compliantly.
Provide coaching, mentorship and technical supervision to junior members of the legal team.
Ensure accurate documentation and filing of contracts, legal advice, and decision-making.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
UK Qualified Solicitor (Solicitors Regulation Authority - SRA).
Minimum 8+ years PQE in commercial law with strong experience in the healthcare sector.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and draft complex commercial contracts.
Deep understanding of NHS and private healthcare.
Understanding of legal issues related to data protection (GDPR) and patient confidentiality.
Proven ability to manage a diverse legal workload and meet competing deadlines.
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Strong attention to detail with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach.
