Based in the Herefordshire village of Much Marcle, Westons Cider is an independent cider-making company, making premium award-winning ciders since 1880.
We are currently recruiting for a strategic Head of Logistics and Supply Chain to join the business on a full time, permanent basis.
As Head of Logistics and Supply Chain, you will play a key part in the implementation of the business strategy and growth, driving continuous improvement programmes, focusing on cost reduction, service level improvements and optimising operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities include;
Overseeing warehousing, distribution and supply chain team operations, ensuring operations are in alignment with business goals.
Managing warehousing, distribution and supply chain budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting.
Overseeing inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure the timely delivery of goods to production and customers.
Driving sustainability and net zero initiatives across supply chain, distribution and warehousing.
Management of stock control and finished goods at various locations.
Collaborating with sales, production, purchasing and customer service departments to align distribution, warehousing and supply chain operations with company objectives.
Building high-performing teams, managing succession planning, and lead talent development across distribution, warehousing and supply chain functions.
Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Safety, and Regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience/ qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of logistics, warehouse management and supply chain functions.
5+ years' experience (or equivalent) in leading cross functional teams preferably in a senior management or strategic role.
Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage and drive operational transformation.
Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Experience of working in an FMCG environment and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous.
