Head of Market Structure and Quantitative Analysis
The Head of Market Structure and Quantitative Analysis is a senior role responsible for providing strategic insights to support product development, policy positions and our equity salesforce as well as developing further quantitative analysis capabilities within Capital Markets.
This is a high-profile industry role, featuring thought leadership through media & press interviews, publication of articles and public speaking, representing LSEG and Capital Markets as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and public meetings. Strategic elements involve Client engagement, innovation, and policy that shape the enlarged Business, Capital Markets and LSEG.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the LSEG position internally and externally in active debate on market structure issues.
Help identify areas that can contribute to the growth potential and strategy of the securities trading business including strategic opportunities within the business which may extend the products and services available to clients.
Produce regular thought leadership pieces and thematic notes for clients on topical subjects. Write regular, consistent notes for dissemination to clients and regulators about equity market structure.
The individual will represent the business as required, including attendance at important functions, industry events and public meetings.
Demonstrates and role models the Leadership Behaviours and the Cultural Intent in day-to-day activities and interactions and creates a culture of high performance and engagement through real time support and challenge.
Skills and Experience
Extensive experience in equity market structures and trading strategies required.
Knowledge of big data analytics and management strategies preferable.
Strong experience directing strategy and delivery in an international, large-scale organisation. Deep knowledge of global capital markets as well as LSEG's business, members, products, services, competitive and regulatory landscape.
Ability to represent the company in the marketplace with clients, regulatory and industry bodies, and participate in Board meetings, industry events and public meetings
Established and extensive network of industry participants across customer segments
Develops new market initiatives, assesses new markets and analyses domestic and international business opportunities
Extensive people leadership and stakeholder engagement experience
