Notes:

The role will require travel to company sites of operation, dependent on the needs of the role and business. Expenses are subject to the company Expenses Policy.

Your Mission is...



The Head of Marketing and Communications will lead and oversee our marketing and communications strategy. You will play a pivotal role in our continued growth and success, helping us scale and take the next step as an SME. You will define and drive the brand to a range of customers and stakeholders, tailor our communications to deliver success, develop and deliver multi-channel campaigns and activities, and be innovative and creative to keep the company at the cutting edge of our industry and beyond. Building and leading a marketing team, you will be key to further developing our brand proposition, and to providing marketing direction across the organisation to support us in achieving our mission and wider vision. With exciting plans for diversification into new markets you will also play a key role in how we scale a multi-company group, building a high performing team to deliver our vision.

Your role:



Strategic Planning



Develop and execute a holistic marketing and communications strategy for the short, medium and long term, aligned to our vision and goals. Ensure effective planning and execution of cross departmental strategies and activities to ensure alignment. Organise and oversee ActiveMe 360 events, and attend external events that further develop our customers and nurture relationships with existing stakeholders. Research, plan and deliver AI strategies and integrations to improve our effectiveness and efficiency

Brand Management



Build our brand equity. Regularly review and reinforce a values-based position and how it links to our wider brand strategy. Ensure the company has consistent messaging and positioning across all channels.

Content Creation and Management



Create and oversee engaging content on various platforms, including digital, socials, written and print, ensuring our brand voice is consistent.

Digital Marketing



Develop and oversee a robust digital strategy that ensures our website remains our shop window and acts as a filter and navigator to potential customers. Oversee the company's digital platforms, including regularly reviewing and reporting on website performance and engagement, our CRM system (HubSpot) and additional marketing and design tools.

Lead Generation



Grow and develop our company by identifying and cultivating potential customers across existing markets, and support penetrating new markets. Conduct and present market research to support our sales and business development strategy and activities. Support our sales and business development strategy and activities. Support the development and marketing of our products and services.

Public Relations and Stakeholder Engagement



Strategically lead in communications, PR, media and stakeholder engagement across diverse audiences using a range of channels. Manage key partnerships and projects to successful execution and delivery. Manage media relations. Tell our story at every opportunity. Crisis Management - Ensure the company is prepared by developing plans to manage and respond to any potential crisis.

Team Leadership



Be a dynamic leader who sets a clear vision and strategic direction, aligning key teams to improve business growth. Performance manage your team, setting clear departmental, team and personal goals, supporting your team and driving them to exceed expectations.

Internal Communications and Support



Work in partnership with our People and Culture team on effective internal communications in support of organisational development. Work with our Customer Success teams to ensure their activities are aligned and execute on our marketing and communications strategies and goals. Deliver regular team training to ensure the wider impact marketing has on the company is understood, with each member of the team understanding the role they play in delivering the marketing strategy - in line with the watertight marketing approach.

Budget Management



Managing and delivering against the agreed marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis, remaining agile to any developments and needs that arise.

Successful candidates will;



Be a proactive, resilient and agile leader with a can do, problem-solving attitude. Possess strong team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team. Have excellent written and verbal communication. Have excellent organisational skills to manage workloads and competing priorities. Have a strong background in Marketing and Communications, with experience in leading a team and reporting at a senior level. Experience working in the education sector is preferable but not essential. Have experience of working in a high growth Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME). Be aspirational to grow with the company and develop themselves with ongoing CPD. Have experience of managing a CRM system, ideally HubSpot.
