The Truman Brewery is looking for a commercially driven, highly organised
Marketing & Events Director
to lead the full events and marketing strategy across our portfolio of venues, including Cafe 1001, Brick Lane Tap Room, Sleazy Pizza, Ninety One Living Room and Juju's Bar & Stage.
This is a senior role for someone who can bring structure, leadership and clear commercial thinking to a multi-venue operation--not someone who wants to sit in the "creative" lane only. You will oversee three venue teams, drive bookings revenue, deliver 12-month campaign planning, and ensure that every venue has a strong, consistent and profitable events calendar.
We want someone who understands music venues, loves building campaigns with discipline, and knows how to lead a team to deliver results. We don't want a pile of ideas we want action and results.
What You'll Do
Lead all marketing and events activity across the Truman Brewery venues, creating and delivering 12-month campaign plans.
Manage and develop the events & marketing teams at NOT UK LTD, Ninety One and Juju's.
Ensure every venue has a clear, profitable and well-planned events calendar.
Oversee private hire and corporate bookings growth--one of your key KPIs.
Implement strong project management workflows to ensure campaigns launch on time, every time.
Work closely with programmers to build balanced, culturally aligned music and events programming.
Own the reporting structure for marketing performance, bookings conversion, audience growth and campaign impact.
Drive footfall, ticket sales, brand reputation and overall commercial success across the estate.
Maintain brand cohesion across venues, ensuring our tone of voice, visual identity and messaging are consistent.
Report directly to the Head of Operations & Business Strategy and act as a senior leader within the business.
What We're Looking For
Experience leading marketing or events within
licensed venues, hospitality groups, music venues or nightlife environments
.
Strong understanding of campaign planning, events programming and audience development.
Excellent leadership and team-management skills. You will oversee multiple small teams.
Highly organised, deadline-driven and capable of building systems that keep the business moving forward.
Commercially minded with a proven track record of hitting revenue targets.
Confident working across digital marketing, CRM, paid social, partnerships and on-site activation.
Someone who values structure, accountability and measurable results.
