About the role
As the Head of Safety Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of Drager's go-to-market strategy across the UK & Ireland, driving business growth through impactful marketing initiatives. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of market dynamics to boost sales, strengthen brand positioning, and deliver sustainable growth.
The Head of Marketing leads the local Safety marketing organization:
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing marketing and communications teams, Foster a collaborative environment aligned with organisational goals and culture.
Develop and implement the go-to-market strategy to achieve business growth and brand elevation. Drive mid- and long-term growth in net sales and enhance global gross profit across the Drager Safety portfolio.
+ Work closely with internal stakeholders to align marketing efforts with commercial and operational objectives. Manage the marketing budget, optimising spend for maximum ROI.
Actively contribute as a member of the UK & Ireland Commercial Leadership Team, collaborating with Sales, Product Development, Commercial Operations, and Customer Services.
General expectations of the role:
Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the Safety Marketing team, including performance management, goal setting, and personal development planning.
Collaborate with marketing managers to adapt and execute global marketing strategies for the UK & Ireland Safety segment, ensuring alignment with local market needs.
Lead the development and implementation of UK & Ireland market positioning, customer segmentation, marketing mix, and operational plans for assigned portfolios.
Develop and maintain robust processes for collecting, consolidating, and analysing market and competitive intelligence, ensuring insights inform strategy.
Support the full product lifecycle, including leading local product launches, ensuring fast ramp-up, and managing phase-out activities.
Function as the key liaison between local marketing and regional/global teams, providing feedback on required product changes and market-specific needs.
Lead and collaborate on the Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement process, aligning activities with local company strategy and portfolio campaigns.
Oversee departmental resources and budget, ensuring the use of ROI measurement tools for all campaigns to drive efficiency and strategic alignment.
Map, track, and report on the external stakeholder landscape, monitoring the positions of key governmental and non-governmental organisations, particularly regarding sustainability and social value agendas.
Build and nurture strong relationships with external stakeholders and influencers, gathering feedback from Key Opinion Leaders to inform strategy and drive relevant activities.

University degree or equivalent desirable
Leadership and management qualification desirable

Related Experience
Relevant business experience in a senior marketing role
Previous experience in Safety Markets and Applications Industry
Previous experience in first line management of a team of people
