Lead a Groundbreaking Modern Languages Initiative - Shape the Future of Intercultural Learning as Head of Modern Languages at the University of Law
As Head of Modern Languages, you will be leading the University of Law's new institution-wide language programme (IWLP). This is a new initiative at the University aimed at enriching the student learning experience by providing high quality language and intercultural learning opportunities for all undergraduate students.
Students at the University of Law can study Business, Computer Science, Criminology, Law, Policing, and Psychology. As part of the new IWLP, students will be able to opt to study a modern language alongside their main degree as a 0-credit option or as a credit-bearing option.
You will be working with the Director of Academic Development and Research to establish the ILWP, initially offering
German, French and Spanish.

As
Head of Modern Languages
at The University of Law, you will be:
Establishing a new institution-wide language programme (IWLP), offering German, French and Spanish as optional modules to all undergraduate students
Teaching online modules in at least one of the languages offered as part of the IWLP
Working with Employability and Careers to ensure students maximise on the employability benefits of language study
Recruiting and managing hourly paid languages lecturers.
We are looking for individuals who are/have:
Proficiency in German, French, or Spanish to at least C1 level, according to the CEFR
Experience of programme, module, and assessment design
Experience of teaching at least one of the languages offered as part of the IWLP
Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
