St Michael's CE Middle School is looking for a Teacher - Head of Music to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?



Actual Salary 22,155 - 34,358.80 per annum (M1 to UP3).



This job is part time - term time only for 885.5 hours ( 1265 hours FTE ).



It is offered on a permanent basis.



Approximate start date 01-Sep-2025.



We are looking for an experienced practitioner to join our staff team and lead our highly successful Music Department.



The school has an excellent reputation within the community for the quality and breadth of musical experiences offered to pupils. These include in-school concerts showcasing curriculum work, services in local places of worship (including a Christmas service at Wimborne Minster), regular singing in collective worship, a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, and strong involvement in community events.



The successful candidate will:


Lead a small team of teachers in delivering an inspiring and challenging music curriculum Be committed to maintaining the school's strong musical reputation Contribute to centralised planning and curriculum development at a Trust level

Our school is well equipped for music, with three fully-equipped music pods located within the school grounds.



This is an exciting opportunity to build on solid foundations and ensure that music remains a central and vibrant part of pupils' learning.



A clean driving licence and your own transport is essential for travel across the Trust's multiple sites and schools.

Keeping Children Safe in Education



The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates.
