St. Michael's CE Middle School is looking for a Teacher of English to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?



Actual Salary 31,650 - 35,674 per annum (M1 to M3).



This job is Full Time, annual hours 1265.



It is offered on a temporary basis until 31/08/2026.



Approximate start date 3 September 2025.



We are looking for a teacher with the ability and enthusiasm to teach English across the middle school age range (Year 5 to Year 8). This is an exciting opportunity for a practitioner with a passion for English to teach the subject at a higher level than is typically possible within the primary school system. The role will be based within our Year 6 team where you will be a tutor for a Year 6 class whilst the majority of your timetable will be teaching Key Stage 3 English. As a Year 6 tutor, you will also be involved in supporting preparations for the Year 6 SATS. You may be asked to teach other subjects as part of the role to any year group (in discussion with a candidate over their individual strengths).
