About the Role:

As Head of Operations Projects & Systems, you will oversee critical operational initiatives, ensuring safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the port. You will lead cross-functional teams, optimize ERP and operational systems, and drive best practices to deliver excellence in terminal performance. Acting as a key liaison between engineering, operations, and senior management, you will guide high-impact projects from planning to execution while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead operational and engineering projects across the terminal, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Oversee system optimization initiatives (ERP platforms, CAD tools) to improve transparency and efficiency. Drive Six Sigma and continuous improvement programs to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations. Manage shipside and landside operations to deliver safe, cost-efficient, and customer-focused results. Mentor and guide operations teams, ensuring proper training and performance culture. Conduct risk assessments, performance reviews, and stakeholder briefings. Contribute to strategic development plans, budgets, and operational frameworks. Act as a company ambassador with customers, suppliers, and external partners.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 5 years of heavy industry operational experience, including supervisory roles. Proven track record in leading high-impact operational or engineering projects. Strong knowledge of operational systems, ERP platforms, and process improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a demanding environment. Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset. Full driving license and flexibility to work shifts/overtime as required.
