We are looking for a Head of Planning to join our Building Services team in London.
Working as the Head of Planning you will lead the planning function for the operating unit covering pre-construction and construction phases on all Building Services Operating
What you'll do:
Contribute to the overall planning process, maintaining a proactive and professional service to the planning, bid and project teams working to the guidelines of the planning and programming strategic plan.
Define, maintain and ensure compliance with department standards. Take the lead as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in representing the OU in the Skanska management system "Our way of working" (OWOW) processes all planning related matters, including trouble shooting, disputes, Extensions of Time etc.
Contribute towards the management of the bid and project planning / programming strategic plan
Assist the management team in preparation of method statements to meet the needs of the project
Manage the delivery and maintenance of all associated programmes, specific to MEP, as required by the bid and project planning and programming strategic plan - Including as a minimum, the Master Integrated Programme including Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Handover Programmes and any major MEP Trade Package Programmes.
What you'll bring to the role:
MEP Planning experience on major projects and different forms of construction and types of NEC and JCT Contracts.
Experience working on Bids and Tenders (simultaneously)
Project lifecycle - tender through to completion
Project sizes up to and in excess of 100 million
Variety of MEP projects including commercial, healthcare, education, defence, data centres.
Up to date with Modern Methods of Construction.
Good working knowledge of Planning Software (Asta PowerProject / Primavera)
HNC/Degree qualification in a construction related subject or trade qualifications
An appreciation of 4D planning software tools including Synchro.
Member of professional institution (MCIOB) would be desirable
