Lead and Develop Engineering Teams: Recruit, lead, and mentor multi-disciplinary engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Oversee Product Engineering Lifecycle: Manage the entire product design and development process from concept to production, ensuring quality and compliance.

Enable Scalable Product Development: Design for efficient manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance, collaborating with production and supply chain teams.

Drive Innovation and IP Development: Lead new technology and product enhancements, translating market needs into solutions and protecting intellectual property.

Support Project Delivery & Client Relations: Provide technical leadership for client projects, act as the primary technical interface, and troubleshoot issues.

Implement Engineering Tools & Systems: Deploy and manage advanced design tools and data systems, driving continuous improvement in processes.

Essential Requirements of a Head of Product Engineering

Proven leader in developing complex, high-integrity engineered products.

Expertise in electro-mechanical systems, structural design, control systems, and hydraulics.

Experienced in delivering solutions within highly regulated sectors (Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace).

Full lifecycle product development from concept through to certification and production.

Adept in engineering standards and regulatory codes

Proficient with modern CAD, PLM, and simulation tools (FEA, CFD).

Skilled in establishing robust engineering governance (design reviews, change control, risk management).

Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Degree-qualified Engineer (CEng preferred) in a relevant discipline.

Eligible for UK SC clearance and international travel.

Base salary 90,000 - 100,000 per annum
