Head Of Product Management Ecommerce

Hungerford, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

"At Klipboard we've introduced a flexible hybrid work policy, where employees spend three days in the office and two days working from home. This approach promotes a balanced work environment that combines office collaboration with the comfort and convenience of remote work."

Klipboard provides specialist software, services and support to deliver fully integrated trading and business management solutions to companies in the distributive trade - wherever they are in the world. With a unique depth of knowledge and experience in ERP/SaaS solutions, Klipboard has a wide range of clients includes wholesalers, distributors, merchants and retailers from small traders to multinational enterprises. Klipboard has offices in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, South Africa, Kenya and North America. Our mission is simple: to design and deliver high performance, integrated ERP solutions that enable our distributive trade customers to source effectively, stock efficiently, sell profitably and service competitively

As we deepen our investment in digital customer experiences, we're building a team that can drive modern, self-serve, and revenue-generating product capabilities. eCommerce is a core part of that strategy.

We're hiring a

Head of eCommerce (Product Management)

to take full ownership of Klipboard's digital commerce strategy and execution. This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on

evolving and scaling a live platform

- enhancing functionality, optimising user journeys, and ensuring the experience is both commercially effective and technically robust.

You won't be stitching together third-party tools. You'll be

building and improving fit-for-purpose commerce experiences

that serve the specific needs of ERP customers - covering complex product configuration, billing, integration, and compliance.

You'll lead product thinking across the full eCommerce lifecycle - from discovery and design, through to architecture, development, launch, and ongoing optimisation. Working cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and commercial teams, you'll ensure our self-service channels drive customer acquisition, onboarding, renewals, and expansion - without friction.

This is a role for someone who understands the

mechanics of platform-building, not just the metrics

. You'll balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, confidently navigating architectural trade-offs while using performance data to drive iteration. You'll help keep Klipboard at the forefront of B2B digital commerce - continuously enhancing our offering as the space evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership

Define the vision, roadmap, and goals for eCommerce as a key product area. Own the customer journey from browsing to checkout, onboarding, and lifecycle management. Shape and iterate self-service models for purchasing, subscriptions, renewals, and in-life changes.

Platform Build

Collaborate with engineering on architectural decisions that balance speed, scale, and maintainability. Lead discovery and delivery of new platform features - including pricing logic, product configuration, and multi-tenant access. Ensure seamless integration with internal systems (ERP, CRM, payments, provisioning).

Experience & Performance

Work with UX to build intuitive, responsive journeys optimised for conversion and customer satisfaction. Use data to validate hypotheses and guide iteration - across acquisition, AOV, churn, and LTV. Monitor platform health, operational metrics, and compliance readiness.

Collaboration & Communication

Act as the single point of accountability for eCommerce outcomes. Communicate clearly with stakeholders - from developers to C-level - about priorities, progress, and performance. Influence commercial strategy with insights on digital buying behaviour.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Extensive product management experience (5+ years) focused specifically on eCommerce platforms

- not just digital channels, but core transactional infrastructure. Proven success owning and evolving

live B2B commerce platforms

- ideally within SaaS, ERP, or enterprise technology environments. Deep understanding of eCommerce architecture, including product catalogues, pricing logic, checkout flows, and customer lifecycle management. Technically fluent - confident collaborating with engineering teams on APIs, platform architecture, and integration with ERP, CRM, and billing systems. Strong product judgement backed by a data-led mindset - you understand what drives CAC, CLTV, NRR, and how to move them. A hands-on, collaborative leadership style - comfortable driving alignment across product, engineering, UX, marketing, and commercial teams. Familiarity with payment infrastructure and digital compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS and GDPR.
