Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Psychology to lead our psychology department. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development and implementation of effective care plans, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring high standards of psychological practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of IT systems relevant to psychological practice, and excellent communication abilities to engage with both staff and clients effectively.

Duties

Lead and manage the psychology team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality psychological services. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the needs of clients. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the department through training and professional development initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to integrate psychological services into broader organisational goals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in psychology and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards. Utilise IT systems effectively for record keeping, data analysis, and reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience

A recognised degree in Psychology or a related field, along with relevant professional qualifications. Proven experience in a leadership role within a psychological setting is essential. Strong understanding of care plan development and implementation processes. Proficiency in IT systems used within psychological practice is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
