Vanguard Learning Trust is a cross-phase multi-academy trust in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It was established in February 2015 and currently has five schools: Field End Junior School, Hermitage Primary School, Ruislip High School, Ryefield Primary School and Vyners School. The Trust employs over 500 staff and has a population of circa 4000 students.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to lead on the delivery of Psychology A level across our Trust. Psychology is an extremely popular choice at A Level and the Trust has a successful track record of students progressing to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. This is an exciting opportunity to develop this department across the two high schools of the Vanguard Learning Trust. The postholder will be based at one of the two schools.
The successful applicant will:
be an excellent and ambitious classroom teacher;
have a good understanding of the current educational developments, especially those relating to classroom-based practice;
have the highest expectations of students;
have an enthusiastic and positive approach within and beyond the classroom;
have energy, stamina and a sense of humour.

Ruislip High School, based in Middlesex, is a secondary academy for girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 18. Currently there are 1300 students enrolled at the school, located in Hillingdon. It opened in 2006 and was converted to academy status in on April 1, 2014.
