Job Description

Signature Clinic is the largest UK-based cosmetic surgery provider, specialing in local anaesthesia procedures, which it delivers out of its eight clinics in the UK and Ireland. It is controlled by its founder and chairman. BGF is an investor in the company.

After rapid growth for our first four years, we are professionalising our organisation and are looking for an experienced Head of Operations as we move into our next phase of expansion.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be a commercial-minded individual with significant management experience from a service orientated industry. This experience could include, but is not limited to, work in healthcare, spas, health clubs and hotels.

Your role is to take responsibility for the patient journey from enquiry to surgery by enacting an evidence-driven sales strategy, covering pricing, promotions and sales conversion. Our major opportunity lies in ensuring that our sales funnel works as efficiently as possible, prioritising high potential leads, delivering rapid response to customer enquiries and ensuring that the right operating capacity is being laid out.

The patient-focussed team team requires a strong manager to drive them to achieve exceptional results.

Primary responsibilities



Responsible for the sales function;

Making sure that all the elements of our sales funnel are delivering an outstanding performance with particular attention paid to the search of productivity improvements;

Providing leadership on sales strategy, pricing and promotional activity;

Ensuring that the right operating capacity is being laid out to service the leads generated by our marketing. This includes capacity with our call centre, consulting doctors team, sales administration team and, importantly surgeons and operating theatres. This will require regular interaction with:

o our marketing team

o our clinical team

Responsibility for three teams:

o call centre, whose role is to convert leads into patient consultations;

o consulting doctors / patient advisers, who consult patients and advise them on which surgery to have;

o sales administration team, who support the work of the consulting doctors / patient advisers to ensure a smooth patient journey all the way to surgery.

Management of seven direct reports, which will involve:

o motivating;

o training;

o target setting;

o performance measurement;

o 121 meetings, annual appraisals.

Production of relevant sales and operations data:

o sales performance;

o competitor watch;

o utilisation.

What skills and proven experience do you require?



Experience in a rapidly growing B2C, SME company

Experience managing a team of 10-15 people

Proven leadership track record using sales records to drive improved results

Proactive and solution orientated, with strong operational delivery skills

Excellent listening, communication and motivation skills
