Step into a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Scotland's most iconic heritage and cultural venues. As

Head of Sales

for

Heritage Portfolio (HPL)

, you will shape and drive the commercial strategy across a prestigious collection, leading galleries and exclusive private heritage venues. From high-end dinners and luxury weddings to bespoke corporate and MICE events, you'll be responsible for maximising revenue and elevating HPL's position in the Scottish events market.


Reporting as part of the UK Sales Leadership team, you'll lead proactive sales activity, set and deliver ambitious growth targets on a multi-million-pound portfolio, and build a strong, high-performing sales culture. You will work closely with venue-based Sales and Business Development teams, providing strategic direction, coaching and support to grow pipelines, secure new business and deepen relationships with key corporate, agency and private clients.


This is a role for a commercially astute, highly proactive sales leader with a strong background in heritage venues, events, or MICE, and a genuine feel for the Scottish market. Based at the HPL office in Edinburgh, you'll be a visible ambassador for HPL and Sodexo Live!, out in the market generating business, showcasing our venues, and creating exceptional event opportunities for our clients.

What You'll Be Doing



Sales Leadership & Strategy:

Drive national sales performance, pipeline growth, and margin improvement.

Account Management:

Build and nurture strategic MICE accounts, ensuring seamless delivery and long-term partnerships.

Venue Sales Support:

Coach and empower venue-based sales teams to exceed targets and deliver exceptional results.

Market Engagement:

Represent Heritage portfolio and Sodexo Live! at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings to elevate our brand.

People Management:

Lead and inspire a team of BDMs, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Sales Tools & Reporting:

Leverage Salesforce and Tyhnk to track performance, forecast growth, and maintain data integrity.

What We're Looking For



Proven senior sales leadership experience in MICE, hospitality, or sports venues. Strong UK conference-agency background with proven wins and relationships across leading MICE agencies Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering revenue growth. Inspirational leader with strong people management and coaching skills. Commercially astute, highly organised, and results driven. Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement. CRM-savvy (Salesforce, Tyhnk) and analytical with a focus on continuous improvement. Driving licence preferred (this role involves significant UK travel, some overnights and occasional weekends for client hosting).
