Becklands School is seeking a committed and aspirational

Head of School

to lead the day-to-day operations of our specialist SEMH provision, working closely with a highly experienced and supportive Executive Board who will help support driving through the strategic development of the School alongside yourself and other members of the SLT.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to grow into senior leadership, within a small specialist school where you can make a real impact with our students.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Has successful leadership and management experience in a school setting - preferably within the SEN/SEMH sector. Is ready to embrace the responsibilities of Head of School and grow professionally. Is passionate about inclusive education and therapeutic approaches. Can build strong relationships with staff, pupils, families, and external partners. Is confident in managing operational responsibilities and driving school improvement. Can work collaboratively with the Executive Board, Proprietor, Governing Body and other key stakeholders to identify areas for school improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the operational running of Becklands School, ensuring compliance with Independent School Standards and other regulatory frameworks. Work closely with the Executive Board to implement strategic goals and uphold the school's ethos. Oversee teaching, curriculum, assessment, and staff development. Promote a positive school culture and high standards of behaviour. Ensure effective safeguarding and risk management.

Interview Process

This role will involve a

two-stage interview process

the second stage being with the Governing Body. Dates to be confirmed in due course.

Pay: 55,000.00-65,000.00 per year
