We are now seeking a transformational leader to take up the role of Head of Service for Commissioning and Infrastructure. If you're a visionary, values-led professional who thrives on innovation, partnership working, collaboration, and systems leadership this is your opportunity to make a real difference at the heart of a progressive local authority.
As Head of Service, you will:
Lead work with commissioners and key partners across the Health & Social Care Economy to ensure that provision is geared to prevent, reduce or delay the need for statutory provision.
Work collaboratively with senior leaders in Public Health, Commissioning and other key partners to ensure that our commissioning strategy supports our vision, ensures equity of access, is of high quality and delivers VFM.
Propose and implement policies and initiatives to improve the lives of people with care and support needs in Stockport.
To provide assurance around the planning, quality and sufficiency of care provision for people with care and support needs in Stockport as per statutory requirements
Develop effective working relationships and form collaborative internal and external partnerships.
Your leadership will be key to delivering joined-up, ambitious support that empowers people to thrive in their communities.
About You
Proven successful experience of inclusive and collaborative leadership
Extensive leadership experience within adult social care commissioning and infrastructure
Demonstrable experience and skills in working in successfully working in partnership
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrable success in leading transformation, service innovation, and working across complex systems.
Strategic vision, operational grip, and a deep commitment to inclusion, co-production, and human rights.
