The School of Divinity is seeking to recruit a Head of Student and Academic Services, to cover for temporary absence (13 months). The post holder is a key senior member of the School's management team with responsibility for matters related to the School's portfolio of UG, PGT and PGR programmes and Student Support services, both on campus and online, across all levels and types of study.
The Opportunity:
The post holder will work closely with the Director of Professional Services to provide robust and seamless high quality professional service across a varied and complex School. He/she will support the DoPS in the maintenance of management continuity by deputising where appropriate during leave and absence, and lead on delegated School-wide projects and developments as required.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), 13 month fixed term, starting 1st October 2025. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is 49,559 to 60,907 per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Proven skills in planning, prioritisation, allocation and delegation of work.
  • Experience of supervising staff, training and developing individuals and team building: demonstrable ability to empower and motivate staff, and to facilitate the implementation of lasting, service improvements and coordination.
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems with an appreciation of possible longer-term implications
  • Experience of working/responding independently and dealing with unforeseen problems and circumstances.
  • Proven ability to use databases and reporting systems such as BI Suite to prepare and analyse complex datasets and use this information in the preparation of detailed management information reports.
