Head of Surveying and Technical

Main Responsibilities

We\'re offering an exciting position as head of surveying and technical. You\'ll be responsible for providing a wide range of technical building and construction expertise to support the regional operational teams. The role will involve leading your team to enable effective resolution of major repairs, claims, regulatory and legal issues. You\'ll also carry out surveys and assessments to identify defects and effective solutions, acting as the expert for all major repairs, alterations and party wall matters.

Necessary experience and skills -

  • Hold a relevant degree, such as an RICS accredited bachelor\'s degree in building surveying
  • 10 years\' experience in building surveying
  • Extensive experience in building pathology, and specific experience of building maintenance
  • Track record of successful team leadership of improvement programmes
  • Operational service delivery experience, including resident facing roles
  • Strong understanding of what drives resident experience and ability to action learnings
  • Experience of delivering reports and/or recommendations to senior managers
  • Creative and problem-solving approach
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Able to deploy effective leadership
  • Effective IT skills
