We are looking for a dynamic Head of Transformation to drive operational efficiency, performance and customer excellence, and resource optimisation across Ports of Jersey. This role is pivotal in developing, delivering, and embedding transformation and productivity strategies that align with our customer experience goals, aviation, maritime, engineering, and corporate-wide objectives. The successful candidate will ensure high customer service standards and smooth technology-enabled operations/processes in a complex and highly regulated environment.
This role is a 3 year fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities
Lead productivity and digital transformation initiatives across Ports departments alongside Heads of Departments, managers, employees and Executives to deliver sustainable change programmes.
Work closely with key external stakeholders (e.g., customers, suppliers, regulators and trade unions) to successfully implement productivity initiatives.
Lead cross-functional project teams through change and transformation initiatives, ensuring staff engagement, training, and smooth transitions.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HR, IT, finance, and technology teams to identify and deliver continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and champion a culture of operational excellence.
Design and implement performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor efficiency across all functions. Benchmarking performance against industry standards and best practices.
Working with Heads of Department oversee and manage the delivery of workforce planning analysis, and workload modelling (e.g. forecast demand and resource requirements) to improve customer experience and workforce utilisation.
Provide strategic and tactical input into, automation projects, and new systems implementation to enhance productivity.
Lead, manage and co-ordinate the development of training programs that upskill managers and frontline staff in productivity tools and techniques.
Write and deliver concise reports and presentations regularly to Executive and senior leadership on productivity performance and recommend actions for corrective improvement.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Proven experience in delivering and embedding complex change programmes in a regulated operational business, ideally within the maritime, aviation, transport, logistics, or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
Strong leadership and project management skills and experience with a track record of delivering measurable improvements.
Solid understanding of operational regulatory environments, ideally in an aviation and/or maritime environment (e.g., EASA, MCA, IMO).
Experience with productivity tools, operational planning systems, and data analytics platforms.
Master's Degree (or evidence of capability equivalent) in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred) or equivalent process improvement training.
