A vacancy has arisen for a Head of Year. We are looking for someone committed to supporting and working with young people ideally with experience within a secondary school or similar setting. The role involves working closely with young people every day, supporting them with all aspects of their school life including their attendance and punctuality, behaviour, uniform, equipment, safeguarding and welfare and, ultimately, their success in school.
You will play a key role supporting across the school day and work closely with our Behaviour Manager and leadership team to help maintain our calm and purposeful school environment. The successful candidate will have strong inter-personal skills because relationships with students, families and colleagues are at the heart of excellent pastoral care and they are a key strength of our school community: we care about every student and their family. You may have previously worked in a similar role, or you may be able to demonstrate in your current position that you are a great organiser, someone who is friendly and approachable, firm but fair and with lots of energy and patience! You should have strong communication skills and be able to understand, process and analyse data efficiently.
This is a permanent term time only position working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday Term time only plus INSETs.
