Springwest Academy, West London, is looking for a talented and committed Head of Year to join our experienced, friendly team. We invite applications from highly motivated, inspirational and outstanding teachers.


In this role, you will have a thorough approach on providing excellent pastoral care, ensuring that every student feels safe and supported. At Springwest, each Head of Year has an experienced pastoral mentor working alongside them and the students in their year group. You will monitor academic progress, attendance and behaviour, working closely with the pastoral mentor, form tutors, teaching staff and SLT. As a Head of Year, you will need to build strong relationships with students and parents. This post requires excellent communication and leadership skills as well as a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

A teacher who:




is passionate about and committed to enabling all students to fulfil their potential regardless of their starting point has a clear understanding of how students learn will lead by example and support students to achieve the best of their ability has knowledge and understanding of the subject requirements appreciates the ethos of Springwest Academy is willing to teach other subjects across the Academy has qualified teacher status (or is working towards gaining QTS at the end of this academic year)
