Position Overview
As Head of Reception, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional front-of-house experience. Reporting to the Front of House Operations Manager, you will provide visible, hands-on leadership to the reception team, ensuring a seamless and professional service at all times.
You will lead by example, setting high standards in guest engagement, operational efficiency, and team collaboration. Through mentoring and day-to-day guidance, you will foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the reception function.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the team in reception, fostering a culture of excellence
Deliver a warm, personalised welcome and guide each guest through an exceptional stay
Oversee service standards, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail at every touchpoint
Collaborate with the Revenue Manager and General Manager to ensure Rate and Revenue Management is flawlessly executed to maximise ADR, Revenue, Occupancy, and TRevPAR.
Maintain immaculate presentation of all public and guest-facing areas
Drive team training, performance reviews, and development plans to support career progression
Qualifications
Minimum 18 months of high-level supervisory or managerial experience in a hotel, reception, with good working knowledge of PMS systems and Channel Management.
Natural leader with strong communication skills and the ability to inspire teams
Exceptional organisational skills and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting
Passion for hospitality, with a focus on delivering personalised service
Hands-on approach: willing to step in wherever needed and lead from the front
