This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our 24 hour hospital at Kensington, one of London's most vibrant and well-connected areas. You'll be part of a team that handles a dynamic and diverse caseload, from routine consults to complex emergency and critical care cases.


We are seeking a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Kensington 24 Hour. You'll have the chance to work alongside a team of skilled colleagues in a collaborative and supportive environment, with access to modern equipment and a strong nursing team.


This role is working 40 hours per week with 1 in 6 weekends.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
