We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and visionary Head Teacher to lead our school through an exciting phase of growth and development. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering excellence in SEND education, leading our staff to ensure that every child receives the support they deserve, and working closely with parents, carers, and external partners to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
Overall Objective:
Responsible for the orderly and continual operation and development of the school.
Seek to enhance educational standards by effective use of the National Curriculum together with the individual abilities of our students who will have complex learning difficulties and low function autism.
Create effective working relationships among staff groups, within education and across into the care home.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
To ensure the school offers an outstanding experience to all students, including a personalised curriculum, high quality Teaching & Learning and effective pastoral wraparound which would allow our students to make exceptional progress against their starting points.
To ensure compliance with Independent School Standards and OFSTED standards.
To lead on the creation, implementation and delivery the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and School Improvement Plan (SIP).
To be responsible for the Line Management and Performance Management of Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
To undertake formal observations of all teachers.
Carry out supervisions/appraisals on all school staff.
Monitor and oversee all elements of staff roles within the school, to ensure effective use of staff skills.
To liaise regularly with the Registered Manager with regards to the extended learning opportunities, individual student programmes/timetables and whole school target setting.
This job description is subject to periodic review and it is expected that the post holder will contribute to the active development of the role as the needs of the School are identified. Opportunities to work flexibly in other parts of the organisation may from time to time become available and, in order to contribute to the organisation's aims and share areas of expertise and knowledge, as well as ensure continuous personal development, the post holder is expected to actively seek such opportunities by talking to their line manager about such possibilities on a regular basis.
