ACS Cobham is seeking a dynamic and experienced

Head of Tennis

to join our Sports Department and take ownership of all aspects of our tennis provision--from recreational through to elite performance levels.

About the Role



Reporting to the Head of Sports, you will lead and coordinate a team of specialist and non-specialist coaches to deliver a vibrant and inclusive tennis programme. The Head of Tennis will oversee up to 6 coaching staff, ensuring qualifications and certifications are up to date, and play a key role in developing extra-curricular offerings and community programmes that generate additional revenue. The incumbent will also act as the event director for all tennis-related events hosted at ACS Cobham.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and develop the tennis programme across all age groups and ability levels. Plan and deliver tennis coaching sessions, including evenings and Saturday fixtures. Mentor and manage a high-performing team of coaches. Organise fixtures, tournaments, and holiday tennis camps in conjunction with the Operations Manager. Liaise with school staff, students, parents, and external contacts regarding fixtures, trips, tournaments, scholarships, and player recruitment. Be a role model and to act as an ambassador for the school. Attend departmental meetings. Maintain accurate scheduling, registrations, and coach attendance records. Actively contribute to departmental meetings and cross-school initiatives.

What We're Looking For



LTA coaching qualification, level 3 essential, level 4 highly desirable. Significant experience coaching tennis across all levels, minimum of 3 years. Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience coordinating sports programmes and managing teams. A proactive, flexible attitude with a passion for youth sport. Working hours



Term time only (8.4 hours per week):

Monday 13:30 - 15:30 Tuesday 14:30 - 15:30 Wednesday 12:30 - 14:30 Thursday 14:30 - 15:30 Friday 13:30 - 15:30
Plus evening and Saturday fixtures.
