Job Description

We are recruiting a qualified head therapist to join our fabulous spa team.

The Spa is partnered with TEMPLESPA & we have four treatment rooms offering a variety of luxurious treatments.

Job summary:



To actively participate in assisting the Spa Manager in planning, organising, and supervising all operations and administration of the department, whilst performing all essential treatments and dealing with sales enquiries.

To assist with the day-to-day running of spa operations.

To be able to lead and motivate the team and assist with training.

The Head therapist will proactively drive improvements in processes, procedures, and therapy to increase consistency of service delivered.

The Head therapist must be an inspirational team player who leads from the front with high customer presence.

Having excellent communication skills and taking pride in the presentation of the Spa and its team.

Carry out daily spa treatments to a high standard.

You will lead our team of therapists while also serving as a key deputy, stepping in to manage the entire spa facility and team in the Spa Manager's absence

Duties and responsibilities:



Ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the Spa area.

Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of all treatment rooms in accordance with health and safety legislation.

To monitor and order stock in the manager's absence.

Help in the planning of future promotions, motivating the team in retail sales, and raising the spirit of the team.

To keep the Spa Manager aware of any problems within the team, enabling issues to be dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

To help delegate jobs when quiet.

To aid when needed with rota and work schedules.

To undergo training to further your ability within the job when required.

To oversee therapist behaviour, punctuality and performance.

Ensure any guest comments/complaints are dealt with efficiently and effectively, and remedial action is taken as required.

Be responsible for pool/plant maintenance & cleanliness in the manager's absence (complete training will be given)

What we are looking for



Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

The ability to lead and motivate a team.

Hold a recognised beauty or spa qualification, minimum NVQ 3 or equivalent.

Smart personal presentation.

Good interpersonal skills with a polite, friendly, and approachable manner.

Passionate about delivering the highest standards of treatments & customer care.

Schedule:

Monday - Sunday, 5 days on a rota basis
