Overview


We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Head Server to lead our front-of-house team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant service, demonstrating excellent organisational and leadership skills. The Head Server will oversee service operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and promote a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Duties



Lead and supervise the serving team to ensure high standards of customer service are consistently met. Coordinate table assignments and manage reservations efficiently to optimise the dining experience. Assist with food and beverage service, including serving dishes, drinks, and handling guest requests promptly. Uphold food safety and hygiene regulations in all aspects of service and food handling. Support with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are maintained. Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing genuine recommendations to guests. Manage guest complaints or concerns professionally, aiming for swift resolution and guest satisfaction. Oversee the organisation of service areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness before and after service periods. Train new staff members on service protocols, safety procedures, and company policies.

Experience



Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, ideally in a supervisory or head server role. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling and preparation. Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary processes is advantageous. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele. Competence in basic maths for billing, cash handling, and inventory management. Demonstrated time management skills to coordinate multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Previous experience with upselling techniques to enhance revenue while maintaining guest satisfaction. Pay: 16.00-18.00 per hour
