Job Summary

FULL TIME & PART TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE (PART TIME FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS)

We are seeking an experienced Head Server to lead our front-of-house team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, with a focus on guest services and food safety. As the Head Server, you will oversee the serving staff, ensure efficient service during meal periods, and maintain high standards of food presentation and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Supervise and train serving staff to ensure adherence to service standards and protocols. Manage the dining area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Take orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations to enhance the dining experience through upselling. Serve wine & other alcoholic beverages accordingly. Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Monitor food safety practices throughout service, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for complete guest satisfaction. Assist in the preparation of tables and dining areas prior to service, maintaining cleanliness and organisation. Maintain accurate records of orders and payments using basic maths skills for billing purposes.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential, with a minimum of two years in a serving role preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary principles is highly desirable. Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Experience in food preparation is an advantage, as well as familiarity with kitchen operations.

Your regular working hours will typically be Friday evenings and Saturdays. However, if you're available and we need coverage on other days during the week, we can offer additional hours.
